Oh and the buckle is definetely period... by the looks it's most likely early 18th c., something most people in the U.S. won't find (including me... yet )
congrats on the "topless" thimble far more uncommon then the other kind , check out the UK datbase on that buckle it might be an oldie as well Luke . congrats on the coinage too!
