March 24th at a torn down house site on the other side of town

I did manage to find a couple wheats that looks like someone dropped them recently cause they were both right on top, $2.56 in clad and a whatsit. It seemed good to get out after all the rain/snow/ice mix we've been getting here. This has been one long dragged out winter, we haven't had many above freezing temps for this time of the year and there are still some snow piles still lingering.

It's always nice to find wheats. One of my older friends who actually got me back into this MD thing, says that back in the 80s silver was a common find on the outings

Man those were some shallow wheats!
Who knows what else is laying on top waiting to be picked up
Nice hunt!
Congrats !

Next week it's supposed to get a balmy 40* again. ;)
I hope to get back over to the fairgrounds Monday or tuesday. :)
