Matron, Draped, Hail Columbia

Hi all. While this is an old thread, it’s worth noting that these are suspender buckles. Patented by Elisha Steele in 1850:

:lol: My first thought was to wonder who had such a killer hunt. :lol: Brings back memories...that was my first double copper day. That suspender buckle was in the dirt that was on my shovel. It was the last thing I checked...I almost gave up. Thanks for the ID :notworthy:... and WELCOME to the forum!!!

Most excellent finds Drew! Surprised you haven't had a double copper day until now. Regardless, congrats on some nice older coins in excellent conditions for their age. The button will also make a nice display piece. Were you using the Equinox 800 again?
