Hi Klemen.

Your English is better than my Slovenian .

As far as permits a lot of it depends on where you are going to detect. Can you give us an idea as to where you will be visiting as this will help us.

:thumbsup02:

Hello:)
Im very interested in american history, but also have a little gold rush in me:) We don"t have gold here.I like idea detecting fol gold nuggets on old mining sites.I ve seen an episode Treasure hunting America where Bob Howard detect in this sites.I like that idea:)I like to visit California but im not shure if i can do that as a EU citizen..I also have interst for other parts of America in general..

I think it is sometimes hard to understand how big America is. We had a French exchange student stay with us years ago and she wanted to visit Disney in California (only a 2500 mile drive). The country of Slovenia is about 7800 sq miles which is about 7 times smaller than the state of New York. You could fit 472 Slovenia's inside the U.S. I think once you narrow down where you want to visit in the states there will be members here to help you out.

Welcome to the forum Klemen :waving: , Each state in our country has its own laws and ordinances about where or if you can detect. I would suggest researching those areas you are interested in visiting and go form there. Also maybe get in touch with some of the local detecting clubs they will have some answers for you and maybe let you meet up with a few members to host a hunt with you. again welcome and glad you joined up.
