In my area it seems the best way to find the really good coins is to find the part of town that was working class during the Depression and when you get the OK to hunt a lot try to locate where the garden was. Those folks had no trust in banks, even the kids, and tended to hide their savings. Now, inside the houses isn't likely to be allowed but around and in the garden was a common place to bury valuables. I found those silver dollars on the edge of the old garden at the house my Grandfather once owned in a rusted beyond recognition metal box and wrapped in cloth. The German coins were there too but not wrapped up. Something to consider researching while the weather is so cold.
