Hey guys I got out on Mother's Day afternoon after helping put roof on my sisters house..
I was such a nice day outside..
So I hooked up with my friend Tom he is a history teacher in the area..
And we headed to the old mill site...
We hunted for about 3 1/2 hours
Tom found the first Coin 1864 Indian head penny..
Then I found a chocolate brown spear tip to bad it was broken :(
We hunted a little bit longer and at 7 1/2 inches I found 1853 large cent..

By this point I'm getting a little tired so I started up towards Tom.. And I got a solid on my detector on my detector... It was 1865 Indian at 2 inches.. It was a nice day to get out and hunt...

Thanks for looking guys!!!

Great hunt Don :thumbsup01: Those are two nice looking coins. When I was detecting up in MO I enjoyed working the fresh plowed fields after a rain. Them arrow heads stand out, so your getting a two-fer. Good hunting to ya

Very nice looking 1853 Large Cent, Don! :thumbsup02:

The 1865 Indian Head is a good find too.

I love the color of that spear tip. It has been ages since I have found any kind of arrowhead or point. Something like that would make my day!

:congrats:

wow the spear point is great , i would love to find items like that here. congrats on the indian and large cent .
