My 1st signal of 2013 was 40-41 in the woods near a colonial house... Out pops that nice shoe buckle chape... My only coin of the day and 1st of the year... an 1880 Indian Head Penny... There is a small cal. musket ball in there as well... I was a muddy mess... but I had fun :-)

Paul nice hunting and :congrats: on getting that IH. The shoe buckle is really cool. It was muddy out there today but right now, detecting in January in New England, who cares.

Very nice bunch of keepers Paul. :clapping: You are always digging up the oldies. |)
Congrats and I'm looking forward to the rest of your 2013 season. :->

you're not kidding about the mud...Chrisinct and I went to Bushnell park Sat and I was cleaning up for an hour after I got home!

Mud means the ground isn't frozen!

lol

Very nice finds, Paul! Great old buckle, and very cool that your first coin of the year was an 1880 Indian Head. It cleaned up nicely too!

:congrats:
