My Colonial field finds, adjacent another cellar hole.

I moved to MA back in August, and the first field I got permission to hunt ended up giving up a lot of goodies. Last week I went a bunch of times and the entire hay field was super flat. I managed to squeeze 5 more coppers out!

Nothing spells coffee like Folger's as your cuff! (Actually detected like that for about a week)

Some of the better stuff found so far:

2x Conn. Coppers (date unknown)
4x Large Cent (1812 only date readable, others are all Matron head types)
2x Woods Hibernia Halfpennies (dated approx 1720)
1x 1844 Canadian Halfpenny
3x Indian Head pennies

the one on the top right is either a 1786 Miller 5.3- (B.2 , G. , N. ) or a 1787 miller 7-I. known as the Hercules Head variety and only has one reverse , these obverses share the same dies used to make so determining the exact one requires the reverse examination. it is a desireable variety though and the front of yours looks to be in pretty good shape.the 1787 variety is very rare an only 22 coins are known to exist , whaile the 1786 miller 5.3-N. is a common variety.

Thanks Dan. Knowing my luck it's the common variety.

:wow: Very nice digs on all the coppers. That is a great site it's just to bad that coppers just don't hold up in farm fields. awsome finds

Thanks everyone. This field has been good to me and to those who are with me.

Yeah I can't complain though cause I got some really nice condition coppers just last year. I always say a toasted copper is better than no copper at all!
