My first 2 cent piece!

I found this about 100 ft from the 1838o seated dime I found the other day! About 4 down at VDI of the typical early cent 68/70/72 :happydance01: It's in pretty bad condition, but I'm happy to at least tell what it is & it's a first :) The ONLY thing I could see on the obverse was the date 1865! lol

Very huge congrats on your 1st 2 center. Who cares about the shape of it, ya got one. Grid that yard with persistance, there is more available.

Crusty, yes, but you were able to make out the year, and the reverse isn't bad. Congrats on your first! :clapping:

congrats on your first 2 center TC,like the other fellow said, grid it and hunt it good there is likely more there,,,thats a very good find.

Congrtas on another first for you :peace: Try letting that one soak in olive oil for a while ( a long while lol) and maybe some of that crud will dislodge a bit. That place is being real nice to you. I think it likes you :smitten:

Nice 2 cent-er. and especially the 1838 O dime. I found a 38 O a couple months ago in about the same condition.
The V3i is really performing for you.
Keep it up.

It is a crusty little thing, but a great find.

lol it is isn't it... You know, I've never found any coins in this bad of shape before- been fortunate to have 1820 & 1833 coppers and quite a few IH look really good. (Knock on wood) That's why I'm not pouting too bad :crying02: I've been lucky

>{ >:{ :embarrassed: me too .

hey big congrats on your first two-center Tana :clapping: :happydance01: :peace: <: , thats odd as those bronze coins usually hold up pretty well (better than the coppers). sometimes they can look real crusty and not to good but underneath they are in really fine shape , i hope thats the case with yours.
