My first 20 minutes of metal detecting!

Well I FINALLY got my Fisher F2 and had about 20 minutes of daylight after everyone was finished opening gifts etc so I had to go try it out. Was at my dads and it isn't a very old house but I still found coins <:

The best part was my son Dakota was in charge of the pin pointing and more often than not had it so close that I was picking it up on the F2.

I can't wait til tomorrow!! Practicing in the yard here for a while before I try any of the older sites I've been eyeballing for a month now. I have no idea if the picture will work so fingers crossed! :dontknow:

Oh! I almost forgot to put what they are derp - All clad of course - 2 Quarters 1997, 1978 - 7 Memorials 1963, 1973, 1978, 1982, 1984, 1988, 1996 I'm sure I won't always list the memorials but hey its my first day digging!

I love hunting with my grand kids so I know that you had fun. The older coins and the fun stuff will come with time and a lot of swinging. Congrats on the first hunt. :clapping: :clapping:

Very nice that you were able to find some coins. Now that you are completely hooked and part of the insanity of MD'ing can't wait for more posts. Congrats
