My First Buffalo Nickel

First hunt of the year on the first day of the year. I've been looking for a Buffalo nickel for several years. (Top left coin) $0.97 total found in the parking area of a rural community recreation area. The soil in Southern Indiana can be acidic as you may notice the corroded surfaces on most of these coins.

Happy. Happy. Happy.

Congrats on the Buffalo! Still on my bucket list-it's odd sometimes how finds come. My first silvers were mercs and barber dimes, ending the year with 2 large cents. Yet, no buffs and no silver quarters yet. Way to start the new year and hope it's a sign of great finds to come!

Congrats on the buff! Still looking for mine but the search is on hold until the thaw comes😠
