I'm right over the hill from Rogersville, I live in Greeneville. I have done a bunch of hunting over in hawkins county where your folks are. If you can gain permission in carters valley or along the holston river then you will find relics. Hit 11w going toward kingsport and carters valley is just a little ways up the road. There was a battle or skirmish there and suppose to have been a good one. I have been told and its an old story that they burried a confederate wagon over there that was full of supplies. No one has ever found it. I have heard them all because I ask alot.
