My first V nickel , ring #37

Well it was one of those weekends . Not much but clad over two hunts , $19.98 total . We jumped around this morning trying to find a school that would produce , but no luck . . It was getting toward the end of the hunt and I was making my last pass when I got a jumpy nickel signal . It was going from +16 to +22 to +38 , so I dug it . The target was at 7 inches and I was not being careful . Then I see it , my first V nickel !!! I put a small scratch on Lady Liberty . It turns out to be a 1899 ! It's my first in 13 years of hunting
As it turned out it saved my weekend hunting . I did get one junk ring on Saturday , #37 .
