My latest loot

I have been trying to get out more recently but its been tough even though the ground conditions are really nice right now. These finds are from the last 3 weeks or so of detecting. The pic of the 4 dimes with the broken skeleton key came from a new baseball field site that I think I can find a fair amount more there...we will see. I think it has been hit in the past but I found about $10 in quarters which tells me that it has not been detected in 4-5 years.

This past weekend I was down in Ohio, setting up tree stands for deer hunting, and visited my honey holes from a few years ago. Managed a 1920 S merc, 1914 & 1930 Buffs, 1900 indian and cool store token, so I was thrilled with those finds!

I just found the pin knife and the no date Canadian dime during my lunch break today. Silver during my lunch break is always satisfying.

Thanks for looking! Jared

Wow, lots of old coins!

I can't tell from your photo, what is the mint mark on the 1914 wheat cent? If it's a "D" that's a major key date and a rare find. Even an "S" mint mark is a semi-key.

The Canadian Dime is a really neat find too. In all my years of detecting I've never found a silver Canadian coin. :dontknow:

Congrats on the great finds!

That wheatie is a 1914 S. Like you said it is still a semi key date and it is remarkably clean...I have only wiped off the dirt.

Being so close to the border I find lots of Canadian coins...those darn pennies of theirs ring up 12-45 so I often get my hopes up of a silver only to be dashed when Queen Elizabeth stares back at me.

When you do a quick glance at the token it almost looks like a shield nickel with the look of the "5". Great variety of finds. I love those baseball fields especially in fall. WD
