My Other Love.

Besides relic hunting and my wife I have another love! I have been restoring a 67 Pontiac GTO for about 5 years now and it reached a milestone last week. It has finally been painted. I am going to bring it home next Friday and start the long slow process of putting it back together. The color is Mariner Turquoise and that is what it was painted from the factory. It will have a dark aqua interior and black top when it is done.

I love the color!

Keep us posted on the restoration. I would love to see more photos as it progresses!

Cool wheels there fyrffytr1  They don't make them classic colors any more :-\ You got ya a great winter project when the ground freezes up. thumbsup01

I'm into old cars also. That's my 1955 Chevy 210 sedan in my avitar.
You have a great looking Pontiac there. |:cheering:
What motor and tranny does it have in it?

OH MAN! I had a 67 Goat when I was 19. 400, Quadrajet, 4-speed. I can still hear that quadrajet moan! Sweet, sweet music. Kept the car a little over a year. Went through two clutches, and three sets of rear tires. Mine was that off white, black roof and black int. Boy O Boy, wish I had it back.

It has the 400 with automatic transmission and His and Her shifter. I have a thread about the restoration on a Pontiac website if Y'all are interested. A word of warning, the thread is over 50 pages long now and you may have to register to see the pictures. I have done a complete frame off job on this car and I ma here to tell you , it will be the last time I do it!!

I like the color too :clapping: The 'dark aqua' interior sounds nice. Good luck finishing it up!

My step-dad has been working on restoring his '69 Triumph TR6 for about.... 30 yrs now lol I think it needs another sand-blasting by now...

Well, it's home. For the time being anyway. Next stop is the interior shop in about a month. The 57 Chevy is my buddy's car. We took it this morning when we went to get mine. It is there for some touch-up work.
