My very FIRST SILVER

My Son's 1st Silver was a Rosie and I still have it in a special case. It's all gravy from here on out. Great Hunt. Wisconsin Digger

It's always nice when you find your first in any category. Congrats on your first silver.

From the photo it looks like you dug a large, messy hole to retrieve the coin. Couldn't tell if it was grass or not. Please be careful when digging. Take your time to center and if it's grass, dig a square shouldered, 3 sided plug to flip over so it's easy to replace. Leave a place like you found it so nobody will ever know you were there. If you dig like that you will get lots of invitations to detect. If you make a mess, particularly on public property you will find you will be banned.

Thanks I just took a close up pic I try and dig every plug as nice and clean as I can and I have a cloth to put any dirt I take out of the hole on and put it back like it was before thanks for the congrats and on the advise
