New bonanza for coin hunters?

There's a move afoot in congress that would vitally impact all treasure hunters.

A new bill has been introduced to eliminate dollar bills, and instead everybody would use dollar coins.

If that were to happen, we'd be finding dollar coins everywhere, like we're finding clad coins now!

Why the push for a change from paper dollars to metal-coin dollars? Because it would save the government a cool 5 1/2 billion dollars over a 30-year period.

If they want me to carry another coin I hope they phase out the one-cent piece to balance out my pocket. When I was stationed in Germany 30-some years ago the PXs and BXs did away with pennies and rounded to the nearest nickel. No more pennies as change. I loved it, and I wish they would do that here. Without all those pennies I would use dollar coins.

That would be fantastic if they did away with the dollar bill and started using dollar coins instead, I hope it happens, especially when I see all of the 1 and 2 dollar coins that they're finding in Canada
