Just got a detector for Christmas and I have have hunted maybe 4 hours. Found 10 wheat pennies and one Silver Quarter and the Ms coast. Came home and was showing my daughter how it works in the back yard and found a large silver Freemasons ring. This kinda reminds me of my deer hunting, I travel an hour to get to my hunting camp when I have some of the biggest deer in the state living right next to my house. haha

Sounds to me like you are off to a great start already. Was your daughter excited about the find? What type of detector are you using? Welcome from western MA and glad you found us here. Looking forward to your future finds......we love pictures.
