Hello Emmarold1998 and welcome to the forum :waving: great find :clapping: :clapping: what were the year of the coins from (oldest and newest)?? and how deep was the cache ??

oldest coin was 1886 v nickle newest coin was a 1964 kennedy half, the 2 dollar bills were 1921, 1923, 1927. i hunt with a whites dfx spectrum e series, it was buried about 6 to 8 inches deep and showed up as just a +95 on the readout which confused me a litle as i usually get a picture if a nail or foil or ring or something like that

yes the DFX is a very good machine (my favorite machine to use ) , those zinc mason jar lids sound off very nice , even the deep ones . ;)

Hello emmarold1998, and welcome aboard. That is one nice cache. :wow: That 1886 V nickel is a semi key date. You just missed the rare 1885 nickel. :hairpulling: The DFX is a solid machine that you can use for many years. Good luck on your next hunt. You know sometimes if there is one cache, there may be others too.

yea im going to hunt the rest of the property as soon as the fields get mowed i cant wait . the ground is still pretty soft around here so digging is pretty easy hope to find some more mason jars. will post my findings as i go

Welcome emmarold1998, and it sounds like you have found yourself a sweet spot. You can bet if someone was hiding their loot they wouldn't put all of their eggs in that one basket. :waving:
