Well for me this was a great hunt, Spent 90 minutes at an old Farm House with plans to go back tomorrow and search a little deeper. 1943 Merc, 1954D Rosie, 1937 Buffalo, 1953 Jefferson, 3 Wheaties, 1947 Dog Tag, Old Pocket Knife, and what's left of an old Toy Pistol. Silver count for 2012 = 2, almost ahead of last year :)

Hey! That's a great hunt Dully. Sounds like you have a great hunt location. Good for you for finding a place you can dig in this frozen Colorado ground. Looking forward to the spring. We should hook up for a hunt or two this year. Congratulations on the great old coins.

Yeah for silver! Esp the mercs- one of my faves :smitten: Mercs and Walkers a couple of the most beautiful coins IMHO

I bet you'll beat last yrs silver count by a landslide thumbsup01 Oh and welcome to the forum- I missed saying hi when you first arrived... over a year ago lol I see you've been a member for a while, just haven't posted much. Nice you have Jack nearby to hunt with, such a good guy

:wow:, Sounds like there's more to be found at that farm house. :perfect10: Good start for the year! |:cheering: Congrats!

Day 2 at the farm - 2 wheats, A ladies Sterling Silver Ring with 2 oval pieces of Jade? (green colored stones) which looks pretty old. and an Airmens Open Mess, K-55, Korea Token. On the back of the token it reads Good for 5 cents in Marchandis. South side of the house was easy digging but forget about the north side the ground was frozen solid. Also had about ~$1.50 in Clad.

Jack, we can catch up at the park this spring/summer i was talking to an old timer here in Longmont and he told me where he used to play ball with his buddies growing up - It's still an empty field

Camera is out of commission but will post pics one of these days.

2 outings and 3 pieces of Silver i hope that continues!
