Of course...at the Course

So I texted Mike and Steve about hunting today and both declined. So I went solo.

Hit the 10th fairway and got a 1943 Wash and a 1943 merc.
Crossed the street as I had some silvers in the keeper pouch but I wanted some wheat's. If you notice I am closing in fast on my 1000th wheat.

Managed to get only one, a 1910. Got myself a tag that has the number 795 on it and a nice musket ball. My last 2 silvers were a 1947 rosie and a 1942 merc.

Also got another buckle and an ox knob...and an item that I have no idea of what it is.

So I arrived there at 7am and hunted for about 5 1/2 hours. I was getting sore so I left to do some errands and I get a call from Mike. Hey where are you???? I had a couple of hours so I thought I would drive up. Hope he can add to the silver total.

Well that this hunt and thanks for reading. HH everyone.GEDC0089.JPGGEDC0090.jpgGEDC0088.jpg

I am sure there are lots of wheats there so #1000 is not that far off. Heck you guys might get 1000 silvers there!?

That's a cool, old keg tap! Where'd you find that ox knob...same area the coppers came out of? I hate to wish ill on others but wouldn't it be a shame if the house development was delayed? Keep it up!!!

So that's an old keg tap.....knob came from 1st fairway. Once the weather gets really good the grass is going to grow and grow cause nobody is gonna cut it.

Due to the type of hunting I usually do its taken a long while to find the wheats.

Your on par for the course , of course .

All the years I played golf, never shot par.

I might have to take up golf. More nice digs Al.

Thanks...but don't take up golf....serious waste of time.

Dang Al, You could spend a lifetime detecting that place and probably not find it all! Congrats on another round (golf pun) of great finds. HH, Dave.

I can't believe we're still finding silver on 1 and 10. Nice haul Al. That wheatie looks like it has a nice patina to it. I got a 48 Rosie ( 1st hole of course) and 2 wheats 1927 and 44 at the reale/capped bust area. That's close to 80 silvers I believe.
