This past month my friends and I have been hunting an old church camp established in early 1890's. The people who run this place are so friendly and enjoyed seeing our finds- said that Missy, Bill & I can visit anytime
A couple weeks ago we hunted under this pavillion (they suggested hunting there because the foundation was recently dug up). Thus all of our coins were found just an inch or 2 deep! Missy found her first IH 1892 & a 1919 wheat. I found 1917 merc, 1920 buff and 6 wheats 1911, 1919 and rest from the 30's. Bill found a nice silver ring w/purple stone under a nearby tree that he gave his 9 yr old grandaughter.
Yesterday I didn't find any good coins, but this anklet sure got my heart racing. :happydance01: I found it in the grassy area in front of the pavillion about 2 deep. Help! I can't figure out what it's made of! It looks like silver, (hoping it's white gold lol) and rang out as gold/foil VDI of 8/10 range. Perhaps it's picking up the little bells... The clasp looks like heirogyphs ":beerbuddy:MK inside the little duck. On the underside it says RCPL. I've googled both of these and greek language comes up, leading me to believe it's foreign. It is pretty heavy (.56 oz) and well-made. It's Sunday so I can't take it in to a jewelry store to get checked. Anyone have any ideas??
