Past couple of Hunts

Seeing that my computer is totally on the fritz, I had to wait to get on my work computer.

I managed to get out Thanksgiving morning seeing that my obligations did not start until 3pm. Managed to get 4 wheats at a park our town is ripping up. 1919, 1942 x 2, 1958.

Went out Sat with Rob and we hit that park for about two hours. I managed what I think is a silver ring, Rob should be posting his finds soon. We then went to a home that he had secured us permission to hunt. The homeowner was great, go where ever and Rob says that we will show her the finds. This tiny yard. no bigger than 15 x 40 produced between the both of us 31 wheats and 2 silvers. I got 9 of the wheats and the 2 silvers which are 1934, 1937d,1942 x 2, 1944 x 2, 1940, 1950, 1953 and the silvers are 53 d rosie and a 59d wash. I decided to run in Hi-Pro with the V3i, something I had never done before. That program truely amazed me with its ability to lock onto deep coins (9-12). We also hit another park for a while and I got the bottle which has SYLPHO - NATHOL Cabots embossed on it.

Thanks for reading and keep diggin

do tell me you got the best of Rob on your little excursion
great coins and jewelry Al and the bottle looks to be around 1900. :beerbuddy:

Sometimes those little tiny places, that don't look like much, can be the real honey holes! ;)
:thinkingabout: Looks like a return trip would be rewarding too
Nice huntin' Al
Congrats

Very nice hunt, Al! That's a lot of coins for a small yard! With that many wheat cents there should be some more silver there. It's always a good sign when you find a silver quarter! thumbsup01

Awesome bunch of coinage Al. :clapping:
The little yard sure held a bunch of dropped coins. Congrats on the silver... especially the Washington. :smitten:
Love the bottle. :smitten:

We dug holes (replaced very nicely) everywhere. Like I said I was running the Hi-Pro program and thats what I think got the silver. I am sure Rob ran over it |:cheering:

He got the 22 wheats, I got the 9 wheats and the 2 silvers. I'm gonna have to call this a draw. My pinpointer is not working so I was taking handfuls of dirt and running them over the coil, what a pain. Maybe Santa will be good this year.

Bet Santa would be happier if you left a silver for your friend. :poke: No pin pointer and its a draw. If Santa is good to you Rob may need to run 2 detectors at once to keep up.

Only after I got 22 wheat pennies out of the way so he could come through and clean up the silver!...so he got me at the house

I did manage a 1904 V Nickle from the park and a few wheats, but he managed a silver ring :peace:....so it was a tie at the park

We also hit an old field....I managed 4 lead seals and 4 buttons, 2 tombac, 1 2 piece (but only the back >{) and 1?...so I got him in the field

So overall...it was a tie rofl

It was a good time...as always
