Persistence paid off...

Tonight I went armed with my detector and determined to pull an older silver from the site I have found 19 IH's, a V nickel, a buffalo nickel and lots of wheats on my last 3 hunts.

Signals are getting pretty sparse, but I finally managed to pull an older silver dime. :happydance01:

Also got a few more very nice IH's, a war nickel and two more V's. One is 1890 and the other is very rough, but I can make out 1883.

I sure am happy with the way most of these IH's are cleaning up. Some have virtually no circulation wear at all. Tonight, I just ran them under warm water while gently scrubbing with a soft toothbrush, then a little soak in some olive oil.

I'm hoping to get the go ahead to hunt the back yard too. The owner was telling me of where the carriage house once stood.

Here are tonight's goodies.

Sweet Barber, congrats to you! Those IH's are just fantastic. I can't believe how many have come from that yard, that's amazing!

Boy them Indians are beautiful  And that is only from one part of the yard? :shocked04: WOW :shocked04: I can't wait to see what that carriage house area holds. (I'm betting big silver ;)) lol

Wow! That is a gorgeous barber dime, and those IH's are in beautiful, perfect, Iowa-like condition! thumbsup01 Grats!

Those Indians clean up great, wish mine looked that good. You're really getting a full tribe there!
