Please help ID this 1780 coin.

I got this coin as a bonus along with some US silver coins i bought? The dealer had no idea what it was exactly or at least thats what he said. I certainly have no clue. If you can help identify i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes, it is a VOC Duit minted by The Dutch East India Company.

Dutch: Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie, VOC, United East India Company.

Yep, Correct. Dutch east india duit. I have it posted in what is it as well and del posted a link to it. pretty interesting stuff. I then researched further and found exactly where in teh world it was from. It's a very long way from home.
