powder flask

I found this awile ago , didnt know what it was until some one else posted one on another site , found it in an old farm yard , house built in 1860's hurry spring

thats a real nice piece there :peace: , did you find both sides and the top too. :dontknow: :dontknow: if not get back out there and find it man. lol lol
 
That is a gorgeous powder flask Dave :shocked04: :shocked04: I found 2 this year, but none as nice as that one. Beautiful patina on it. Like Del said it' is missing the top round piece. What a great relic :clapping:
 
It is complete , both sides i mean, no top, wonder if it could be restored?

I'm sure it could be restored. It would probably be taken apart and puffed out, like it would normally look, and then re-soldered. Who knows, there may even be a reproduction spout that can be put on. The hardest thing would be to try and keep the patina the same color after re-soldering. It is a great looking design.
