There's a park that I can literally see from my back door. I hunted there when I first started metal detecting but found not a lot. Noxman Steve pulled a few silvers out of it the other day so I tried again. The 1918 Merc is pretty thin and the 1829 half cent is a first for me. I think I'll spend some more time there this week! And glad to be detecting again. Long winter.

I love that classic head look...and they have a low mintage. Yesterday was perfect for detecting...and you made the most of it! Congrats on the bucketlister!

That Classic Head Half Cent is an awesome find! They are not a common coin for detectorists. That one is in very decent shape. I have yet to find any type of Half Cent and they are near the top of my bucket list. Congrats!

Very cool find. Nice shape too. The first copper I ever found was a half cent. I haven't found one since.
