Right under my nose

IMG_1549.jpgIMG_1550.jpgThere's a park that I can literally see from my back door. I hunted there when I first started metal detecting but found not a lot. Noxman Steve pulled a few silvers out of it the other day so I tried again. The 1918 Merc is pretty thin and the 1829 half cent is a first for me. I think I'll spend some more time there this week! And glad to be detecting again. Long winter.

I love that classic head look...and they have a low mintage. Yesterday was perfect for detecting...and you made the most of it! Congrats on the bucketlister!

That Classic Head Half Cent is an awesome find! They are not a common coin for detectorists. That one is in very decent shape. I have yet to find any type of Half Cent and they are near the top of my bucket list. Congrats!

More crazy park finds! What is it with these parks that still have all this stuff still there?! Hey, congrats Mike - nice nab on the half center. Found my first bust half just last year, but yours is in much better shape.
