Looking for advice on which detector to buy. Not interested in a beginner model that I would need to replace in a couple of years. Budget is 1K. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum , where would you be using this detector most and what are you specifically looking to find ? I ask because some metal detectors are better on the wet beaches , some are better to handle heavy mineralized soils than others for certain areas of the country . Most machines are single frequency and are good for most areas on land but struggle on the wet beaches where as dual or multi frequency machines handle it much better .
