Another beautiful summer day here in central Illinois, sunny with a high of 84. This morning I went back to the town where I found the seated dime last weekend, but I hunted at a different site. I discovered an old church that now serves as the town hall and community center. In the old church yard I found 1 Indian Head and 3 silver Roosevelt dimes, plus a few wheat cents.
After a while I decided to drive about 20 miles east to a town I had never been to before. There I discovered a site where the town's high school once stood. It was built in 1897 and must have been town down recently. The site is now a city park, but there is a bare dirt area where the school building used to stand. At this site I found a no date SLQ, a V-Nickel, an Indian Head, a silver ring and several wheat cents. I was happy to finally get my first SLQ of the year.
On my way home I decided to stop at the first town again and hunt the park where I found the seated dime last weekend. The very first signal I dug was ANOTHER seated dime! This one is dated 1890. Nothing but some clad after that, so I decided to head home.
Here are my finds for today:

The keepers before cleaning:

And after cleaning:

My second seated dime in as many weekends:

Nineteen wheat cents today:

Plain, unmarked silver ring:

Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:
