Shallow Water Detecting Finds

Today I joined midas to do some shallow water detecting at another old swimming hole. The lake water is starting to chill, but our wetsuits kept us toasty warm. We picked up many targets, but only a few were of the good kind. I managed four silver coins; a dateless Standing Liberty quarter, two Washington quarters, and a mercury dime. I also snagged four rings; a 1927 10k gold school ring, a sterling silver ring, and two junkers. The rest of my finds were a few old wheat cents, a 1910 V nickel, and other miscellaneous items.

Wow, I think that's not only a dateless, but a completely faceless SLQ. But still great finds. I love the rings. :smitten:

I will never learn to water detect. :(

It's gonna take a lot to clean them silvers lol Hard to even see that SLQ. Still silver is silver and that's a good hunt. thumbsup01 Thank God for wet suits

The only water hunting I have ever done was at the shore. I gotta try some lakes around here..Nice finds

nothing better then a day with silver and gold :happydance01: any plans on trying to find the family to the lost class ring.........
