Today i was gonna take the V3i to the tot lot in a nearby town. But i had mail to take to the post office so i changed my mind. I went over to the old fair grounds that i have been to before with the DFX. I figured i would check out the field area now that there are no sports going on. I found alot of pull tabs .69 in clad and....... MY FIRST SILVER COIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A slick no date SLQ. YIPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Congratulations on your first silver coin! :happydance01:

That is a very nice 'first'. SLQ's are not very common.

Look on the back does the Eagle have three stars under it or none. The 1916 very scarce..and the 1917 Type 1 do not have the stars. Sometimes you can date them that way.

Congrats on your first Silver...it's an awsome feeling....here's to the first of many to come! :beerbuddy:

Any standing liberty quarter is good lol I remember using a silver date restorer on them in the 70's to get the date back. That is probably an illegal product to produce these days, as I think it's nitric acid that etches the date back lol Probably why I turned out the way I did  Nice find and I would take the fair grounds over the tot lot any day

:shocked04: What a beauty for silver #1! :peace:
I still haven't found one of those.
A big congrats to you RaZR.

Good job on the SLQ. :peace: I still remember where i was when i found my first one. Sure wish i could get the V3i back to that spot again. WTG :clapping:
