Yesterday morning and this morning I was up with the sun and found my first silver coins from this field! The site has produced coins from the Civil War up to the 20s. They are letting it go fallow this year and the grass is now difficult to swing through. :(
The shield has rays. Also found a dandy, one of the few colonial items from this place. It has a distinctive floral patter. Thanks for looking!:)

ongrats Drew, I have yet to find a shield nickle..:crying02:. As I drive around the grass is getting taller and taller in the fields, thinking about putting a weed wacker in the trunk...

Congrats Drew! Some very nice finds you got there. I really like the shield, I'm still looking for my first!
Great couple of hunts!

Nice Drew!
That looks like a handful of fun to me!
Congrats on the keepers! 😁

The dandy button almost looks shinny enough to be a tombac.

Always nice to get oldies from a field. The dandy button is nice. Looks like the fertilizers have not been kind though. GL for more good finds there and HH, Dave.

Love the shield nickel man. Only found three EVER. Wondering why they are so hard to find? Cloaking devise?

Terrific variety of old coins, Drew, spanning across many eras. The Shield Nickel must be either 1866 or 1867. It's nice that you found a dandy button too, maybe there are colonial coins lurking about.

Good job finding those coins and relics in difficult conditions.

:congrats:
