those are "hunter's tacks" Jim they have a metallic reflective tape on them and the hunters will tag a tree to use it as a yardage marker . these occasionally fall onto the ground and they read very high and sound deep , I hate them things :hairpulling::ticked::ticked::lol::lol: . get use to finding them every so often .
Now I know why it was there. Can't fathom someone putting a tag sale sign in the middle of the woods. Maybe a lost pet sign. :rofl: Can't say that has ever been part of my trash regimen at a cellar hole before.
