Got out for a quick hunt after work, got this gold plated pin “dieu et mon droit” french for god&my right is the motto of the moncarch of the united kingdom, a pewter liberty bell charm that is toasted, a flat button with some gilt left it is marked waterbury button co. The front is blank i can see an anchor when I get it wet but it fades when dry any suggestion? Mineral oil, ink eraser? Brass brissel brush? Second to Last picture is a burnside .54 cal carbine still had half of the casing on it when I dug it but it deteriorated fast, I also got a collar button, 1888 indian & a four holded button not pictured. Also managed 3 ultra elusive D buckles to add to my pile...HH

That's a wide variety of finds. Don't you just love the elusive D buckle, they sound so good that you have to dig them....

Lots of variety for sure! Love that gold plated pin, sure like to find the history of that one! D buckles to me are still a good find, it shows you're in the right area and still worth showing some of the more unusual ones.
