Short hunt nice pocket spill!

Beefcake

My neighbor asked me to watch his boys tonight for about a half hour and I hunted his yard while watching the kids play wiffleball. I got a really nice signal that I thought was an indian head, but first found a wheat...then another, and another, and another,... Then I finally got to my original signal... a 1907 Indian head. The newest wheat penny in the bunch was a 1920 and the oldest wheat was a 1910. I couldn't believe when I washed off the indian and used a toothbrush, that it was still copper colored... I've never found one that still had the original color. I can't seem to get the gunk off her face though... I found another clad quarter and that was it before I quit. Here's the pics...

Nice little spill and you didn't even have to go far to get it lol I'd leave the Indian the way it is. Any more work to it and it may ruin it. They hardly ever come out that color where I'm from, but that one is nice. I guess it was worth watching the kids ;)

That's a very nice IH... and the wheat cents are great too. Doing the favor paid off. thumbsup01

I think the only reason it came out like that is it must have been sandwiched between the wheats. That would explain the green on her face and the green on the wheats.

Sweet little pocket spill you found there !! thumbsup01
Short and sweet, gotta love it !!
Congrats
Did you offer to sit again ? lol

That's neat- I hadn't ever thought about that .. back in the 20's it'd be common to have both IH and wheats in the pocket!

WOOHOO! Nice going buddy. Thats one sweet looking IH. Never have I seen one come out of the ground looking that good. You gonna hunt the rest of the yard? Bet there is more there to find. ;)

cool spill! with my IH's like that i find if ya use your finger nail and pick at it...some pops off.depends how good it's clinging to pits under it.give it a shot.
nice stuff! thumbsup01

good little spill Beef , congrats and it looks like your liking that machine huh ??

I've hunted his yard probably 10 times last year. His is the yard that I've got the SLQ, barbers, mercs and a ton of wheats from. I still haven't got it all hunted thoroughly yet. I'm sure there's more.
