Went out for about 2 hours this morning in the cold. Nothing old (school dates back to mid 50's) but I picked up $5.50 in clad and this HONKER of a ring. :shocked04: It's marked "China" and "925" and has a couple other marking too. It's 15 grams! My largest ring so far.

Oh, and the stone looks to be jade. :smitten:

Video is up on my YT channel. :)

I don't know JD...something about China and 925 in the same sentence just don't sound right! :coffeelaugh: Congrats on a great find. The stone is so small it may be jade or certainly in the jadite family. Is it cold to the touch? Merry xmas and HH, Dave.

Thanks Dave! No worries on the "China" marking. It's sterling without a doubt. I'm 100% positive. There are some nicks on the inside and It's silver the whole way though. And hmm, I'll have to check. What is the reasoning behind the temperature? I never knew about that. :)

Real nice ring. It's funny how we don't trust anything coming out of China to be real  I'd slice and dice it open to make sure it's all silver, kidding of course. My guess would be Nephrite, as it is the cheaper of the two types of Jade. But it is a small stone so it could be Jadeite. Great looking ring and well worth braving the cold!!

Got to watch the video first time I got to see what you looked like. Have seen a lot of your videos since I started this hobby 7 months ago. Congrats on the ring and did you find out any info on it? Safe and HH!!
