Silver #100

It has been a crazy good year for me! I do not set goals necessarily at the beginning of the season but I was hoping that I would make some great finds and/or break the 100 silver mark. And now I have done both this year.

I went out detecting over the holiday weekend and worked a spot I have gone over a few times in the past but this time I decided to dig all the deep scratchy one way signals. I found a 1960 Canadian silver dime and the nicest condition barber dime I have ever dug.





Then the other day I hit a spot that I hit before but I was only finding wheats the first time there and started skipping them. Well I dug all of those wheats this time and some of them turned out to be silvers. The merc was #100!

That is quite an accomplishment! We are fortunate to live in a time when there are still lots of silver coins to be found if you are diligent. :yes:
