Today I had a chance to spend a few hours detecting at a town green, a treat during this time of year since the ground can be frozen by now. I had been concentrating on picking up a few Indian Head cents, but wheats and silver kept getting in the way. :eyebrow: lol The wheat cents are in very bad shape though. The soil at the site is harsh on them, so any Indian Head cents that may be found there will likely be in poor shape too. In any case, it was a pleasure to see some of the shiny disks pop out of that tough soil. I'm hoping to be able to detect Saturday afternoon so I can give the site another try.
