silver dimes this week

Week started out trying to get above 200 silvers for the year, and finding a new site. First new site I hit looked promising from the photos, but I could tell after the first 15 minutes that it was a lemon. Don't know how I knew, but spent another 4 hours verifying that conclusion >{

Second new site also looked promising, but when I showed up, I saw the grass hadn't been mowed since Jefferson was president, and while I think the site has promise, I wasn't interested in giving up 4-6 inches of grass to prove it. I did however, scout the least promising section of the site, an area of low grass due to shade from adjacent woods. I didn't expect to find silver in this section, but there was an old decayed stair trail thru the woods to an older development from a time when kids were not afraid to walk thru the woods to school, and I gridded that section hard and pulled a couple of silver dimes, putting me at 200 for the year <: (A year that will never come again -- but it was a blast <: :happydance01

Thru the week hit a tried and true site and pulled a silver a day, until today, where I tried some more out of the box hunting -- a section of the site that I thought wasn't so promising, and therefore, figured other detectorists might have ignored as well. Managed to pull 6 dimes from that section in a rather short time today <:

Wow, 200 silvers is incredible, Randy! Still lots of prime hunting time left this year too! I'm sitting at 32 silvers for the year, I can't even imagine getting 200!
