Silver From The 1800's - Plus

This morning I had planned to meet up with midas to detect at a local lake, but other things came up, so I had to cancel. Once I took care of things I headed to a local site in the afternoon to do some dirt digging. Except for local traffic, the place was quiet. It made for an enjoyable time detecting as I was able to fully concentrate on the deep signals. I did well, picking up four silver coins, three from the 1800's. :happydance01:

This is my third Canadian five cent silver (fish scale) this year, and the oldest of the three, dated 1872-H.

The Barber dime is dated 1898-O. The 1853 seated dime has no mint mark. That was my first find, and it made me focus.

I can barely make out an image on this Colonial copper. There is no date that I am able to make out.

Both Indian Head cents are dated 1891. The wheat cents did not do too well in that soil.

I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend!

HH!

Early fish scale. I've only found two and they were in the 1890's. Copper looks like a British?? The Seated is nice :clapping: A great day out!!

Congrats on some great coins! :thumbsup01: I like how you knew just where the dates on the IHs were  Lots of practice... I'm able to do that with wheats now.

Finding a seated coin would either make me focus or make it so I couldn't concentrate at all :bummer:
Sweet find !
I really dig the fish scale though :thumbsup01:
Congrats

The Canadian nickel is a fantastic find... of course the dimes and... pretty much all of it would be a dream hunt in my book.

Congrats on a great hunt.

I love the Canadian 5 cent coin. I found one a 1874 this week it is small and thin but i allmost as good as yours . the e trac loves silver.

I'm putting a tracking unit on your car so I can figure out where you go to find these GREAT finds!!!!

wow Angel , thats a great looking fishscale a coin that has eluded me so far :bangahead02: . i agree the copper looks to be a mid 1700's George from the profile and the barber and seated silver is mighty fine to look at . very nice :peace: :peace:

Next time I will be using disguise number 5902.

as i recall , that disguise is a pretty good one but i recommend shaving the legs to be more convincing this time.
