Silver @ park project

When I got out of church Sunday morning, I had a text message from matmit (from FMDF) about his dime grandslam (1876 seated, 1899 barber, 1925 merc & clad rosie), WOW! So I had about an hour Sunday evening to go, so I went over to the park project and found one silver, a 1917 Merc. I was digging everything hoping for an old nickel, but only found a Jefferson.

Glad you snuck a nice merc out of that area. Can't seem to get away from pulltabs no matter what lol Your friend seems to have had a great day, but we don't count clad in the grand slam \:hammer: Some really nice finds get unmasked when dirt is moved around.

Darren, :congrats: on recovering that merc. The bottle top looks to be from an old bottle, does the seam go into the opening?

Keep hitting that park. We had some great finds at the park we found that was getting a facelift. Between the two of us well over 100 silvers.

not bad Darren , the bottle top looks likes its either from a bitters or medicine type but definately late 1800's to me .
