Silver Park Round 2 - Sixteen More Silvers

This park is unreal. :happydance01:

Of course I went back to Silver Park today after the success I had there last weekend. I started my hunt this morning just as the sun was coming up and I quit right at 4:00 p.m. I still can't believe how much silver is in this park!

Today I ended up with 16 more silver coins. That makes a total of 40 silvers from this park in only 3 hunts.

My totals today:
(33) Wheat Cents
(1) War Nickel
(3) Barber Dimes
(10) Mercury Dimes
(1) Rosie
(1) Silver Washington

Here are the silvers before cleaning:

10 Mercury Dimes

Nothing too exciting in the relics department:

2 tokens. The store token was folded in half. I did my best to straighten it. It says Star Cafe on the other side. I'm not sure how the Colorado tax token ended up in Illinois.

33 wheat cents today. All are from the 1940s or older, none from the 1950s.

That's it! Thanks for looking and happy hunting! :beerbuddy:

Congrats Tony! I am SO freakin excited you have found a spot like this to detect. I really believe you'll get 100 silvers out of there by xmas. That 1945 nickel looks like an early drop. I can still see the windows in Monticello (no pun intended). Best wishes and I hope you find another half when you get back there. HH, Dave.

Just amazing Tony. I can't even image a day like that, or your last one at this park.

Do not underestimate your skill level in finding these. They weren't just sitting there all these years waiting for anyone with a metal detector to find them. You found them because of your skill level, not that it was a virgin site.

Wow ...no 50's Wheaties again? That is strange. But what is really sweet is that this park is not a one hit wonder. It just keeps on giving lol Nice!!!

Congrats on finding the silver coin spot of a lifetime!!! There just are not many spots like that left around, especially parks! Crazy stuff and congrats!! Keep hitting it hard, you gotta clean out all that 1910's-40's silver so you can get to the deep old stuff! |:cheering: Most of us are digging pulltabs at parks with the frequency of your silver coin finds! AWESOME!! :perfect10:

Pretty crazy Tony. You'd better start making sure you aren't being followed on your next trip to that spot! I can't even imagine how many more goodies you'll pull out of there. Congrats!

Tony, I liked your big silver coin haul!!!! Congrats on your huge silver coin haul and other coin finds!!! |:cheering:

Such a big amount of silver coins ! Great spot you have there ! Don´t tell anyone haha ! We don´t find these amount of silver coins here, nickle perhaps. The only silver we find is 200/500 years old and they are rear, except our silver guilders from the 20th century. Aneway, you did a great job ! No jewelry !?? :detecting:

Beautiful hunting Tony. :smitten: First round was more than awesome, second round turned out to be another 'dream' hunt. :peace:

Great job keeping your eye open on this site. :beerbuddy:

Congratulations and I can't wait to see what else comes out of this park. :->

See you soon.
