Silver Trifecta X 2

It was heading into the late afternoon and I needed to get some things off my mind, so I took a long drive to an old site to detect for a while. That always helps me relax. I detected until the late evening working the site for about 4 1/2 hours, and walked away from there with eight silver dimes - two seated, two Barbers, and four mercs. I also nabbed four Indian Head cents and a bunch of old wheat cents.

Two more seated dimes added to the collection. Common dates, but I'm not complaining.

The dimes are dated 1875, 1890, 1914, 1914-D, 1917-S, 1938, 1940-D, and 1942. The 1942 mercury dime was part of a coin spill, being in the hole with five wheat cents.

The Indian Head cents are dated 1889, 1891, 1895, and 1895.

There are 18 wheat cents in the pile.

It doesn't help  I've been with him. I stopped when he wanted to connect the E Trac to my arm and brain  I said No.......well maybe later ;)

Had a great 4 1/2 hours, relieved lots of stress I see. Older site by looks of the old coins. Congrats on finding Seated thru Merc silver dimes, no rosies!! I just found a '44 Merc yesterday, my first silver in about 10 outings. I just cannot seem to find sites with numerous silver coins :crying02:. I have never found a Seated Dime, hopefully by years end that will change :thumbsup01:. Congrats again :beerbuddy:.

Great finds from what must be an older site......heck, where you're at I guess there's always the chance of finding the old, old coins. Nice hunting!
