Slim pickings between rain storms

Hey Diggers,

I got permission to hunt at an old house. The yard was full of dog poop so I had to constantly watch my step! Tons of shallow modern coins and only a few hits deeper than 4 inches. After an hour I FINALLY got a loud squeaky signal about 7 inches deep. I was guessing silver before I even cut the plug! Turned out to be a 1936 mercury dime. Later I got a weak 12-10 about 8 inches deep and popped a 1897 V nickel. I also found a 1969 Hot Wheels Brabham Repco F1, the first car Hot wheels ever issued in their grand prix redline series back in 1969! Thanks for looking and HH, Dave.

Way to go Dave! I have not been out in over a week, has the ground around you got easier to dig
down at that 8 inch mark? Needed a hammer and chisel my last time out...

Good job, Dave! You added to your silver count and found a redline Hot Wheels car to boot! I love finding them, but they are usually in pieces. Congrats on the 1897 V Nickel too. For some reason I don't find many V Nickels from the 1800s.

:congrats:
