Some of my better finds from the hunt Dave and I hosted Dan and Isaac

Nothing better than having a group hunt with great people and friends. I could tell Dan was itching to get back to these sites that we took him to a few weeks ago:yes: with so many cellar holes and lots of swinging area, it was perfect for a group hunt. These sites have been good to me and Dave and this hunt was no exception. Every one walked away with some great finds which is always a bonus when taking out a group. These past few weeks have been very hectic for me with my work transferring me to a new location and some family matters to attend to so, I haven't had much time to keep up with the cleaning of my relics and coins from the last few hunts. As you can see I still have a few weeks worth of relics I have yet to clean up.2014-09-01 002 (640x480).jpg Six containers worth of keepers to get to:duh:.

Any way, I did manage to clean the military buttons from the group hunt. The US button was my favorite, the Light Artillery is very worn but identifiable, and the cuff button turned out to be early 1800's Engineer Corps in ruff shape but still has a little gold gilt on it. The Matron Large cent was also an interesting find as it seems they clipped 3 sides off of the coin...never seen that before:dontknow:.

I got a ton of targets from yesterdays hunt with Dave so I hope to post those finds shortly. Just so much to clean bah!

That US button is an eye popper :shocked04: It is so gorgeous! An unusual clip on the Large Cent never seen one like that. Wonderful stuff Todd great post. :perfect10:

First "Great Coat" button I've seen in quite some time Todd and the cuff sized "corps of engineers" button is a very uncommon one as well. I still can't believe the multitude of different old military buttons from that one site .

Looks like an amazing site!
Your house does, too. You must have a museum worth of finds by now.

Love the two military buttons.

You guys all did great. Isaac is gonna be on Cloud 9 for weeks. Very generous offer to get him out to a honey of a site like that.

Great finds Todd and agree the LC is certainly an unusual find. So many containers of relics to clean...wish I had that problem...or perhaps not. The wife may kick me out of the house! Congrats.

Very nice to get a group together and then to find great stuff is killer
That is always my concern Todd. I hate when we invite people and they don't find any goods. I just like it when everyone walks away with finds they are happy with.
