Hard to believe but I dug a standing Liberty quarter - got it in a school playground under pea gravel and then under hard packed dirt. In my 30 years detecting this is only the 3 rd or 4 th one I have dug. I find it hard to believe it was carried to school from grandpa's collection because it's in such poor shape. As you can see no date visible under the figure. Maybe it was there when they scraped the ground which brought it closer to the surface. That's my wife's solution - sounds good.
Also got a 925 pendant with a green Peridot stone, non precious gun and a Tucson soccer shoot out token.
Total take was 83 coins, a Ducati uncleaned cycle and a spark plug socket. Mid 90's this morning so it wasn't too bad.
Also, for old west people - the old time cowboys called the Stand lib quarter a Cowboy quarter. If you put your thumb over the eagle upside down it looks just like a pair of chaps
