Got out with Dan/Del and Brian/TrooperBri this morning for four bug-less, tick-less, humidity-less, and even poison ivy-less hours. :thumbsup01: I got the (almost) full shoe buckle, shiny tombac, beat up copper, weirdo rosette, and another button this morning. The other stuff is from two hours yesterday, and two the day before. It's always nice to hunt with Dan, and it was a pleasure meeting Brian :) We'll have to do it again.
Other stuff-
Show Ox Knob
Horse or Ox Bit
Pipe mouthpiece
3 Dandy buttons
Cufflink
1958D wheat
Other buttons

It was a beautiful day to be out Drew , hey did you figure out what the copper was ?? It was good to detect with you again Drew :thumbsup02:

Beautiful finds guys! :congrats: I really like the shoe buckle! :loveit: The dandy buttons aren't too shabby either! Looks like you guys had a fun hunt! :thumbsup02:

Thanks Isaac, none of those dandies has a design :shocked01:
Hey Dan, the copper has no discernible details at all. :( But I counted it!

Thanks for the invite to dig with you guys today. Great to meet you both, and look forward to doing it again. Had a great time! No schools, no parks, no aluminum! No coins or buttons either, but what do you want for a 1'st trip in the woods? I managed a small buckle (horse tack), and some sort of iron handle or hanger you hammer into a post at our first stop, and a musket ball at the 2'nd.

Very glad I was directed to this site. Don't think I was here a week before Dan PM'ed me with an offer to hit the woods sometime. And that sometime was only a week later. Thanks for some history and getting me over a few times to let me hear your finds on my 350. Also learned I need to tweak my gear a bit, and get a much smaller shovel. Mine was banned.

Was surprised to see it was almost 4 when Dan and I left. 7 or 8 hours flew right by.

Brian it was great to meet you in person too. hopefully next time the sites won't be so "hammered" and there will be a few more targets to let you hear. we'll do it again soon.

Nice bunch of finds Drew. I would take a copper any way I can  Perfect weather lately for hunting the woods.

Thanks everyone.. Jeff, my understanding is that the completely round knobs were for taking the oxen to fairs, parades etc.
