Meet this morning with Tech125(Rob), Il Digger(Tim), Earl, Ted, Mark and Fred for all day hunt at the old park. Weather was not good to us this morning, rain hard every 20 minutes so we hunted for 3 hours. My finds from old park 3 wheat's, 14KT gold tiny chain with 14KT gold cross. Big find for me was my very first V nickel 1912. Also found bullet, small key maybe for handcuffs and $4.83 in clad. Everyone left around 1230 so I decided to go to old school and try to find at least one silver coin. Glad I did because soon as I come to the school sun come out. Detected for another 3 hours and got two Silver Washington quarters(39 and 41), 45 Merc, two more wheat's and 14KT white gold ring(wife already claim it) so need to snatch from her and take pictures later. Thanks for looking and good luck to all. HH Mike

Thanks Tim, I ordered armrest for Ace250 cost me $10.00. Here are pictures of the ring. I found all 3 silver coins in that area where I found most of wheat's and you found that Merc, close to the fence. Both quarters had nail with them in the hole. See you on Saturday, will give you a call when I leave. HH Mike

What kind of stone do you think it is? What color is it? Dark blue or Black?
You are the ring slayer!! |)
Hey Tim, stone is dark blue. Did you get my PM for next Saturday hunt about weather? If it rain/snow on Saturday chances are that I will go then on Sunday detecting. I will wait until Friday and see if weather changes but if not then we could check one of those park I found. Let me know what you think. Later, Mike

Thanks everyone for nice comments and best of luck to all. HH Mike

That is the only year for mintmarks on the V nickels. Made in P, D or S. But the real key date is the 1885. :clapping: Unless of course you are counting the never to be dug 1913 V nivckel :shocked04:
