Sweet silver

Cheap Thrills

Here’s a couple of pictures of a really nice Mercury dime that I recently found at one of my old spots.
The spot has been overgrown with weeds for the last couple of years, and they finally went and cut them.

I went back againtwo nights ago and dug $.33 in clad and a small tinners hammerhead.

The night I dug the Merc I also dug an unreadable wheat penny and $.18 in clad.

The amount of trash targets there far exceeds anything worth keeping.

I hope to get out for a couple of hours this evening to hunt that spot again.

Happy hunting to all!IMG_0314.jpegIMG_0311.jpeg

Thanks, Vito that one was quite a surprise for me and a great one to break my silver slump with.

Thanks, Tony. I’m sure glad you asked if that was an S.
Somehow, I managed to botch up the pictures on my original post and didn’t notice the S until I did the edit.

I must’ve been tired that evening when I posted because I never even saw the S. I took it for granted that it was a P which surprised me because most of the silver I find around here are marked S.

Thanks for the thumbs up Rebel.

I did get out for about an hour and a half last night, but only managed to dig up four copper memorials and one disintegrating zinc.

I’m pretty sure I will be getting back to my usual shameful silver less trips back home before I score any more silver coins. 🥲

Thanks for looking and good hunting to all. 👍🏻
